Conducted in collaboration with CIO Dive and KPMG, the survey involved 550 global software executives and reveals the critical role of AI in enhancing productivity and addressing challenges such as fragmented tools and data silos.
The study highlights that 69% of executives foresee the emergence of new specialized roles within their teams, such as oversight and agent orchestration, tasked with managing these AI systems. Moreover, 62% of respondents reported increased scalability in development efforts, which will undoubtedly change the operational landscape.
Customer service applications have emerged as a primary focus area for AI deployment, with 49% planning to leverage AI agents to enhance customer support. Alongside these benefits, respondents pointed out the challenges posed by AI, notably in governance, security, and compliance, which must be overcome to fully harness AI's potential within their organizations.
